Description

D-Cycloserine 4-MUP Supplement is a selective and fluorogenic supplement used with Clostridium perfringens agar.

D-cycloserine limits competing organisms, while 4-MUP supports the fluorescence reaction described in the PDF. One vial is reconstituted and added to 500 mL of the compatible sterile, cooled medium.

After anaerobic incubation, presumptive Clostridium perfringens colonies are evaluated by blackening and blue fluorescence. The linked documentation cites EN ISO 7937:2004.
