Description
Preston Supplement ISO 10272-1 is a selective antibiotic supplement for Campylobacter enrichment.
Polymyxin B, rifampicin, trimethoprim and amphotericin B suppress contaminating bacteria and fungi. The supplement is used with lysed horse blood and Nutrient Broth No. 2.
One vial is reconstituted and combined with 470 mL of base broth and 25 mL of blood. The completed Preston broth is incubated microaerobically according to ISO 10272-1.
