Description
MUP Selective Supplement is a selective supplement used with TOS Propionate Agar for enumerating bifidobacteria in milk products.
Lithium mupirocin inhibits many accompanying lactic acid bacteria while allowing Bifidobacterium growth. One vial is reconstituted and added to 500 mL of the compatible sterile, cooled medium.
Prepared plates are inoculated and incubated anaerobically at approximately 37°C for 72 hours according to the ISO 29981/IDF 220 workflow.
