Description
BACGene Legionella Multiplex is a qualitative real-time PCR kit for rapid confirmation and differentiation of presumptive Legionella colonies. It detects Legionella spp., Legionella pneumophila and L. pneumophila subsp. pneumophila serogroup 1 in a single PCR reaction. It is intended for confirmation of colonies and is not validated for direct analysis of water samples. Following preparation according to ISO 11731, presumptive colonies undergo thermal lysis and real-time PCR analysis. Fluorescent probes distinguish the three target groups, while an internal positive control verifies proper PCR performance.
