Description
SENSISpec ELISA Histamine is a quantitative enzyme immunoassay for determining histamine in food, particularly wine, fish and cheese. The assay can test 40 samples in duplicate within approximately 80 minutes. Derivatized histamine in samples or standards competes with immobilized histamine for antibody-binding sites. After conjugate and substrate reactions, absorbance is measured at 450 nm, with colour intensity inversely proportional to the histamine concentration.
