Description
OXI Control E6 Strip is a biological indicator for monitoring hydrogen-peroxide-vapour surface-sterilisation processes.
Paper strips carry a defined population of Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores. After exposure, each strip is transferred to the supplied culture medium; surviving spores produce turbidity and change the medium from violet to yellow.
Indicators are placed at difficult-to-sterilise locations, processed with the sterilisation cycle and then incubated at 55–60°C. A violet clear tube supports a successful cycle, while yellow turbidity indicates surviving spores.
