Description
Steam Control GST E6 SS is a biological indicator for routine monitoring and validation of steam-sterilisation processes.
Stainless-steel coupons carry a defined population of Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores. After exposure, coupons are incubated in Steri Test Medium or Tryptic Soy Broth; surviving spores cause turbidity or a colour change.
Coupons are placed at difficult-to-sterilise locations, processed with the steam cycle and then incubated at 55–60°C for at least seven days. No growth indicates a successful cycle.
