Description
SterilTest BAT E6 is a self-contained biological indicator for monitoring ethylene-oxide sterilisation.
Each unit contains a Bacillus atrophaeus spore disc and an ampoule of colour-indicating growth medium. Surviving spores turn the medium from violet and clear to yellow and turbid after activation and incubation.
Indicators are placed at critical steriliser locations, processed through the ethylene-oxide cycle, activated by breaking the ampoule and incubated at 30–35°C for seven days.
